Literacy Fun for Your Littlest Reader!

Current research on early literacy and brain development shows that it is never too early to prepare children for success as readers.  Our children’s librarians have completed comprehensive training in the Ohio “Ready to Read” and the American Library Association’s “Every Child Ready to Read” programs. 
Our mission is to empower the key adults in children's lives to develop strong early literacy skills.

Learn the six key skills to literacy success by attending our weekly library storytimes and joining our new early literacy reward programs.  Our “Wee Read” (ages 0-2) and “Ready to Read”
(ages 3-5) incentive programs help strengthen
early literacy skills for toddlers and preschoolers.
Parents and children complete fun activities together at home to earn stickers, treats, and a free book.
