At breakfast time

Milk spilled on my blanket

Oh Me Oh My!

Have to wash my blanket  (pretend to wash)

And hang it out to dry (reach arms up to hang blanket)

At lunch time

Peanut butter got on my blanket

Oh Me Oh My!

Have to wash my blanket

And hang it out to dry

At snack time

Banana smeared on my blanket

Oh Me Oh My!

Have to wash my blanket

And hang it out to dry

At dinner time

Spaghetti sauce dripped on my blanket

Oh Me Oh My!

Have to wash my blanket

And hang it out to dry

At bedtime

Cookie crumbs dropped on my blanket

Oh Me Oh My!

Have to shake my blanket out  (pretend to shake out blanket)

No time to wash or dry  (shake head "no")

I need my blanket (pretend to hug blanket)

It’s time for beddy bye! (pretend to sleep)

Fuzzy Wuzzy Blanket  (sing to the "Oscar Mayer Weiner" song)

Oh I wish I was a fuzzy wuzzy blanket

That is what I’d truly like to be

Cause if I was a fuzzy wuzzy blanket

Everyone would snuggle up with me!

Sewing a Quilt

I have a needle  (pretend to hold a needle)

And I have some thread  (pull thread off a spool)

And I have a pair of scissors  (pretend fingers are scissors)

To sew a quilt for my bed  (pretend to sew)

Each piece of fabric

I’ll cut into a square  (pretend to cut)

Then I’ll sew them together  (pretend to sew)

To make a quilt for the fair!  (pretend to hold up quilt)

 My Blanket

My blanket is worn and in tatters  (hug pretend blanket)

But none of that really matters  (shake head "no")

My blanket is faded and old  (rub pretend blanket on cheek)

But to me it’s as precious as gold (place hands over heart)
