Little Easter Rabbit                                                                   Two Easter Baskets

Little Easter rabbit goes hop hop hop                                           Two Easter baskets under a tree

(hop hand)                                                                      One for you                   (hold up right fist)

See how his ears go flop flop flop                                                 And one for me              (hold up left fist)

(put hands on head like ears)                                           I peeked in one basket   (pretend to peek in basket)

See how his eyes go blink blink blink                                            And what did I see?

(point to eyes and blink)                                                 A new baby chick smiling at me! (pop thumb out of fist)

See how his nose goes twink twink twink                                     Then I looked in the other            (peek in other basket)

(wiggle nose)                                                                  And what do you think?

Pet his white coat so soft and furry                                               Out popped a bunny       (pop thumb out of other fist)

(pretend to pet bunny)                                                       Quick as a wink!

Hop hop hop he's off in a hurry!

            (hop hand away)

                                                                                                            Little Bunny

Here is a Bunny                                                                                   There was a little bunny

Here is a bunny                                                                                     Who lived in the wood     (make finger ears)

With ears so funny         (hold up 2 fingers)                                              He wiggled his ears

And here is his hole in the ground                                                            Like a good bunny should           (wiggle fingers)

(make O shape with hand)                                                          He hopped by a squirrel  (hop fingers)

When a noise he hears, he perks up his ears                                           He hopped by a tree

(make finger ears jump)                                                              He hopped by a duck

And runs to his hole in the ground                                                           And he hopped by me!

(put ears in hole)                                                                        He winked at the squirrel            (point to eye)

                                                                                                            He winked at the tree

Ten Fluffy Chicks                                                                                 He winked at the duck

Five eggs          (hold up 5 fingers)                                                          But he made faces at me!           (wiggle nose)

And five eggs     (hold up 5 more fingers)

That makes ten                                                                                      Mr. Rabbit

Sitting on top is the mother hen               (lock fingers, knuckles up)          Mr. Rabbit has a habit that is very cute to see

Crack, crack, crack, what do I see?         (wiggle fingers apart)                  He wrinkles up and crinkles up

Ten baby chicks as yellow as can be       (hold up 10 fingers)                     His little nose at me!

Easter Fingerplay
Five little Easter eggs, lovely colors wore
Mother ate the blue one, then there were four
Four little Easter eggs, two and two you see
Daddy ate the red one, then there were three
Three little Easter eggs, before I knew
Sister ate the yellow one, then there were two
Two little Easter egg, Oh what fun
Brother ate the purple one, then there was one
One little Easter egg, see me run
I ate the last one, and then there were none

Rabbit Doesn't Have A Tail At All

Song - Sung to London Bridge
Rabbit doesn't have a tail at all
Tail at all, tail at all
Rabbit doesn't have a tail at all
Just a powder puff
His ears are longer than his tail
Than his tail, than his tail
His ears are longer than his tail
It's a powder puff

Did You Ever See A Bunny?

Song - Sung to Did You Ever See A Lassie?
Did you ever see a bunny, a bunny, a bunny
Did you ever see a bunny that hops so slow
He hops, and hops, and hops, and hops
Did you ever see a bunny that hops so slow

That hops so fast
That hops backwards
That hops on one foot

One day she ran away. (make fingers "run")

With her babies 1, 2, 3.
So now I have four rabbit pets
To run and jump with me!

Egg Poem
Eggs come in many sizes.
Eggs hold some big surprises,
Speckled, brown, white, or blue.
Eggs hold babies that are new.
Chicks from eggs are fluffy yellow,
Chicks from eggs are funny fellows!

Finding a Treat
Hippy hop, hippity hop.
Will the Easter Bunny stop?
Will he leave a treat behind,
An Easter basket for me to find?
I'll look over here, I'll look over there,
I'll look behind things, I'll look everywhere
I'll look until I find my treat,
And then I'll sit right down and eat.

Easter Hat
I'll make a pretty Easter hat,
To wear at Easter time
I'll put some flowers on it,
And a bow will make it fine.
We'll fasten on some ribbons,
All pretty pink and blue,
Then we'll take a picture,
And I'll give it to you.

See the Easter Bunny

Tune - Here We Go Round the Mulberry Bush
See how the bunny hops along, hops along, hops along.  (children crouch and hop)
See how the bunny hops along,
On an Easter morning.

This is the way he wiggles his nose, wiggles his nose, wiggles his nose (children wiggle nose)
This is the way he wiggles his nose,
On an Easter morning.

This is the way he flops his ears..................etc..
This is the way he flops his tail (wave hand behind you) ...etc
