Watch it Bloom                                                                        I Dig, Dig, Dig                                                 

Here is a green leaf                    (hold out one palm)                    I dig, dig, dig                  (pretend to dig)

And here is a green leaf  (hold out other palm)                              And I plant some seeds    (stoop down to plant)

That, you see, makes two.                                                          I rake, rake, rake            (pretend to rake)

Here is a bud                             (cup hands together)                  And I pull some weeds     (pull up weeds)

That makes a flower                                                                   I wait and watch (hands on hips looking down)

Watch it bloom for you!   (slowly open hands)                               My garden sprouts         (hands low)

                                                                                                And starts to grow!         (raise hands)    

Five Pretty Sunflowers      (hold up 5 fingers)                            

Five pretty sunflowers standing in the sun  

Now their heads are nodding       (bend fingers)                             Five Little Peas

And bowing one by one                                                              Five little peas in a peapod pressed         (make fist)

Down, down, down, down                                                            One grew, two grew and so did all the rest          

Comes the gentle rain                                                                            (raise fingers one at a time)

             (raise hands, then lower, wiggling fingers)                        They grew and grew and did not stop

And the five pretty sunflowers                                                                  (stretch fingers wide)

Lift up their heads again  (raise up 5 fingers)                                Until one day the pod went POP! (clap hands)

 

Five Little Sunflowers                                                              Planting Time  (to the tune of “Row Row Your Boat”)

Five little sunflowers, growing in the ground                                  Dig, dig, dig the earth     (pretend to dig)

(crouch down)                                                                            Then you plant your seeds          (pretend to plant)

Five little sunflowers yellow and brown                                         A gentle rain      (fingers flutter down)

The sun began to shine - The rain began to fall                             The bright sunshine        (arms circle overhead)

(arms over head - fingers flutter down)                                          And flowers you will see (open arms wide)

And the five little sunflowers grew up tall  

(pretend to grow - stretch arms up)                                              Round the Garden

                                                                                                Round and round the garden (draw circle on tummy)

Dig a Little Hole                                                                       Goes the teddy bear

Dig a little hole               (pretend to dig)                                      One step, two steps       (walk fingers up chest)

Plant a little seed           (pretend to plant)                                    Tickle under there!          (tickle neck)

Pour a little water           (pretend to water)                                   Round and round the garden (draw circle on tummy)

Pull a little weed            (pretend to weed)                                   Goes the little mouse

Chase a little bug           (shoo with hands)                                   One step, two steps       (walk fingers up chest)

There he goes!               (wiggle fingers away)                              Into his little house         (tickle under arm)

Give a little sunshine      (arms circle overhead)

Grow a little rose            (pretend to hold flower to smell)               Mr. Sun by Raffi “Singable Songs”
