Time for Sleeping

Now its time for sleeping

The bears go in their caves

Keeping warm and cozy

Time for lazy days

When the snow is gone

And the sun comes out to play

The bears will wake up from their sleep

And then go on their way

 

Bears are Sleeping   (sing to "Frere Jacques")

Bears are sleeping (pretend to sleep)

In their lairs

In their lairs

Soon it will be springtime

Wake up bears! (pretend to wake up)

Wake up bears!

 

Ten Bears In My Bed

(count on fingers)

Ten bears in my bed and the little one said

Roll over! Roll over! (roll hands)

So they all rolled over and one fell out  (drop one hand to the side)

Nine bears in my bed....

 - repeat down to one-

One bear in my bed and the little one said

I'm lonely, come back!

 

The North Wind Doth Blow

The north wind doth blow and we shall have snow (flutter fingers)

And what will poor Robin do then? (shrug shoulders)

He’ll sit in a barn and keep himself warm (hug self)

And hide his head ‘neath his wing (arm over head)

 

 

Honey Bears (count on fingers)

This little honey bear was playing peek-a-boo

Here is another, now there are two

Two little honey bears said "lets climb a tree"

Up came another, now there are three

Three little honey bears looking out the door

Along came another, now there are four

Four little honey bears found a beehive

Here comes another, now there are five!

 

Berries! (count on fingers)

One berry, two berries

Three berries, four!

Five berries, six berries

Seven berries, more!

Eight berries, nine berries

Ten berries, then.....

We eat them up....(pretend to eat)

And count them all over again!

1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10!

 

A Little Brown Bear

A little brown bear, went in search of some honey  (shade eyes with hand)

Isn't it funny, a bear wanting honey?  (shrug shoulders)

He sniffed at the breeze  (lift head and pretend to sniff)

And listened for bees (hold hand to ear)

And wouldn't you believe it,  (shake index finger)

He even climbed trees! (pretend to climb)

 

The Bear Went Over The Mountain

The bear went over the mountain

The bear went over the mountain

The bear went over the mountain

To see what he could see

       -name things he might see such as-

He saw a great big river

He saw a great big river

He saw a great big river

And that is what he saw

 

The Bear

Here is a cave (make a fist)

Inside is a bear (put thumb inside fist)

Now he comes out (pop out thumb)

To get some fresh air

Snow covers the cave (flutter fingers down)

Like a fluffy white rug (cover fist with other hand)

Inside the bear sleeps (tuck thumb in)

All cozy and snug

When spring comes again

And the snow melts away (take hand off fist)

Out comes the bear (pop thumb out)

Ready to play!

 

When Cold Winds Blow

When cold winds blow (blow)

And bring us snow (flutter fingers down)

What I like most (point to self)

Is to climb in bed (pull up covers to chin)

And hide my head (pull covers over head)

And sleep as warm as toast (sleep head on hands)

 

Two Little Bear Cubs

Two little cubs went out to play (hold up 2 fists)

Over the hill and far away (wave hand away from body)

They tumbled and rolled in the grass so sweet  (roll fists around each other)

They sniffed around for some honey to eat (sniff)

They went back home and curled up in a heap  (put fists together)

Then closed their eyes and went to sleep  (rest head on hands with eyes closed)

 

Here is a Bunny

Here is a bunny

With ears so funny (hold up 2 fingers)

And here is his hole in the ground  (make O shape with hand)

When a noise he hears, he perks up his ears  (make finger ears jump)

 

And runs to his hole in the ground (put ears in hole)
