Soft kitty, warm kitty             (form fist with one hand)                    There must be a motor inside of my cat

                (stroke fist with other hand)                                               What else could it be that would sound just like that?

Little ball of fur                                                                                      I've learned how to start it by rubbing her fur

Pretty kitty, sleepy kitty                                                                         But I never learned how to turn off the purr!

Black Cat                                                                                              Puppies and Kittens

Black cat, black cat up in the tree                                                     One little, two little, three little kittens               (hold up 3 fingers)

                (look up)                                                                                  Were napping in the sun                                   (bend fingers down)

Black cat, black cat staring at me                                                     One little, two little, three little puppies            (hold up 3 fingers

                (circle hands around eyes)                                                Said "come lets have some fun!"                               of other hand)

Black cat, black cat come down from there                                    Up to the kittens the puppies went creeping (creep puppies)

                (shake finger)                                                                       As quiet as quiet could be

Black cat, black cat you gave me a scare!                                      One little, two little, three little kittens

                (put hands on hips & shake head)                                  Went scampering up a tree                               (move fingers quickly up)

 

Five Little Pussy Cats                                                                                        Creepy Crawly

Five little pussy cats            (hold up 5 fingers)                                               Creepy crawly creepy crawly

See them play!                     (wiggle fingers)                                                    Goes the pussy cat

This one is brown               (turn down one finger for each)                                                        (walk hands slowy away from body)

This one is grey                                                                                                   Froggie with a speckled coat

This one has a white nose                                                                                  Jumps like that!

This one has sharp claws                                                                                                 (throw arms up)

This one has long whiskers

And tiny soft paws                                                                                               Hey Diddle Diddle

1,2,3,4,5 pussy cats            (raise fingers as you count)                              Hey diddle diddle, the cat and the fiddle

Hurry away                            (wiggle fingers)                                                    The cow jumped over the moon

To scare the mice and the rats                                                                         The little dog laughed to see such sport

SQUEAK!                               (clap hands)                                                         And the dish ran away with the spoon!

 

Pussy Cat Pussy Cat                                                                                         Pussy Cat Mole

Pussy Cat Pussy Cat where have you been?                                               Pussy cat mole jumped over a coal

I've been to London to visit the queen                                                             And in her best petticoat burnt a great hole

Pussy Cat Pussy Cat what did you there?                                                     Poor pussy's weeping, she'll have no more milk

I frightened a little mouse under her chair!                                                    Until her best petticoat's mended with silk

 

Call the Cat and Dog

Call the cat                                (cup hands around mouth)                  

And give her some milk               (pretend to pour)                                  

Brush her coat                           (pretend to brush)                                  

Till it shines like silk                                                                              

Call the dog                               (cup hands around mouth)                     

Give him a bone                         (extend hand)                                       

Take him for a walk                    (walk fingers)                                       

Then take him home                   (form roof shape with fingers)     

 

The Puppy and the Kitty Cat

Here is a little puppy      (Hold up left fist)

Here is a kitty cat          (Hold up right fist)

Puppy goes to sleep      (Put clenched fist, fingers down on lap)

Curled up on his mat.    

Kitty creeps up softly,    (Move fingers of right hand slowly toward left hand)

Tickles puppies chin       (Tickle thumb of left hand with finger of right hand)

Puppy wakes up quickly!            (Lift left fist)

See the chase begin!      (Have left fist "chase" right.)
