In Ohio, state funding to public libraries has
decreased by 30%
.  In response, Perry Public Library
is asking you to consider becoming a library sponsor.

          Your contribution will help ensure
thecontinuation of these important resources:

· Innovative literacy programs for children — over 300 children’s programs and 25 teen programs per year.  Encouraging children to learn to read from a very young age increases their success in school later on.

· Over 7000 patrons attended library programs in 2009 — The library spent $3000 in 2009 on programming
— an average cost of about $0.41 per person.

· Homebound delivery to seniors
and patrons with disabilities

· Computer access for over 250 people per week
computers provide valuable access for job searches and to databases like AllData for car repair, Ancestry.com for genealogy and Reference USA
for business research.

· Circulation of over 315,000 materials per year
— books, movies, CDs, magazines, audio books on CD and MP3, playaways and new technology are all available at Perry Library.
